Today theres a new strange Codename bubbling around the Net. It's called "Aladygma". So, we don't know if it is the Name of the sequel to Cloverfield. But it can, if the Codename is not fake, also be the Title to a new untitled covert film in the work of JJ Abrams. Among others a "supernatural project" like the guys from Movie Blog say.

JJ Abrams fabulous Cloverfield is now in the second week – and the audience loves the movie! So Paramount want's more. According to Variety Cloverfield-Director Matt Reeves is in talks with Paramount to direct a Cloverfield sequel.
There's a good chance the sequel will be Reeves' next film (...)

The Cloverfield Monster – What we know so far! (First Videos on YouTube)

In recent night i can't sleep good 'couse of the temperature. So i made me thoughts about the Cloverfield Monster. What do we know so far?

1 – The first thing is, i think the monster can swim and it's a sea- or semi-sea creature. On the official poster we can see waves that go to New York City. This means that the monster can move under water - so it swims or walks on the sea floor. But i thought it swims ... that's more possible. 'Couse of that, i sum up, the Monster is not bird or a giant bug or something like that. It must be a thing that lives in the water or can survive in it ... like Godzilla and Cthulhu - but J.J. Abrams made clear that it's not Godzilla but "our own monster, and not King Kong, King Kong's adorable."

2 – It has claws! It's a speculation, but i think it's true. It seems that the Monster has claws. In the trailer we see the head of the Statue of Liberty falling down a street in the city. The head is not broken up, no, there is a clean cut at the neck. And at the Poster - the beheaded Statue - there is a deep cut in the body. No breakings from hard pressure, only a deep cut from a fast struck with a sharp blade or a claw.

3 – It's fucking huge. A real Hollywood-Monster must be huge! That's a rule! And in the trailer a guy screams "... it's alive, it's huge!" - and i believe this guy, he's from New York. And the New Yorker know what's "HUGE". However, did you here the scream of the monster?
It sounds a little bit like the tripods in War of the Worlds ... it's a deep and dark sound. It needs a very big body to produce a shaking tone like that. In the new trailer we see, that the thing must be a real giant. The soldiers shot upwards and we see the thing walking behind a skyscraper. Theres something that might be the legs (or a leg, or a wing ...) of the Monster ... and they are BIG!

4 - It has a TAIL! Yep, the Monster has a tail. In the new trailer theres a second in that you can see something moving on the ground, when the Monster vanishes behind a building. If you watch this picture for picture or in slow motion you see that this is a giant dinosaur like tail. A guy postet a video at photobucket in that you can see the tail clearly now.

5 – "It's alive", this is what the guy in the trailer screams. But what means that? In don't know. But i think it indicates that the monster is not a "Blob", a giant robot, a smoke monster or a giant Cheesburger.

Someone postet a picture of a possible Monster Concept Art at unfiction Forum! Looks a little bit like Godzilla ;-)

I’m not sure, I think it might’ve been a four-legged beastie… it has a tail, it has teeth and freaky eyes like that horse that died in ANIMAL HOUSE. It’s kinda of a grayish-yellowish-off-white looking thing.

As Reviews and the Plot-Info at Wikipedia revealing, there is one big four legged Monster dropping large spider-like parasites which immediately attack nearby humans. At this time theres no picture of the monster leaked to the internet.

BIG UPDATE: Now, the first Videos of the Monster appeared on YouTube . They get deleted fast, so good luck. If one is deleted you can take UndeleTube for help.

Here's what the Wikipedia says about the Monster:

The monster appears to have been previously conceptualized as a sea monster, complete with "monster louse" who were crab-like creatures the size of people, which could drop off and act independently of the monster (Citation needed). There is an a body that appears to be invincible to conventional military attacks, including bombs, anti-aircraft rounds, or standard guns. It has chambers on the back of its head which appear to inflate and deflate with each intake of air. It has solid black eyes, and appears to be intelligent. At the end of the movie, the line "it's still alive" can be heard played in reverse, following the credits, so it can be assumed that a final attack from the military which leveled New York City did not hurt the monster. It has long, highly skinny legs, which appear crab-like in nature. It also has what might be considered parasites which drop off its body. These creatures appear spider-like, and there bites cause some sort of deadly infection in humans. The monster itself appears to come from the sea, since the original viral videos showed oil rigs and other sea based structures being attacked. At the beginning of the movie, the Statue of Liberty is attacked early on, which is near the ocean. It is speculated that there might be an entire species of the creatures somewhere at sea, whose habitat was disturbed, forcing them into contact with humans. However, the monster's body shows little evidence to indicate that it is not a land based creature.

Heres one of the most important questions:

Was the monster in the film inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu?

It was not. Here’s the thing—there’s been a lot of speculation, but J.J. has
already answered the question. What really happened was that during Mission
Impossible 3, J.J. took his son to Japan for the premiere. While they were
there, they visited a toy store in Tokyo. They saw shelf after shelf, row after
row, of Godzilla toys. Just this huge toy store filled with toys. The image was
really striking to J.J. He said, “Look at this. This is like a national
monster.” He started thinking, “You know, we need our own national monster.”

The guys over at CloverfieldClues postet 3 news cast videos that feature the destruction of the Chuai station . They are german, italian and spanish. I've translatet the german cast – 'cause it's my mother tongue – sorry for my bad english ;-)

"Direkt" is a poor translation of "LIVE" that is not used in germany. "Letzte Meldung" = "Last Report" or Breakingnews - Sondermeldung would be the right translation.

Newscaster: Only three days ago theres an oil rig sunk approximately 1300 km off the coast of New York. Recently we've gotten dramatic pictures of the event by international news agencies.

Newscaster: The videos show the inexplicably sinking (of the rig) – even experts are bluffed by this. At the time of the event there were 355 worker on board. The plattform was opened in September 2007 - and is (was) one of the largest world wide. They is (was) run by the japanese company Tagruato – there HQ is in Tokyo. The drilling-system (of the rig) was developed by Zwichau Engineering in Leipzig under the leadership of Dipl. Ing. Dominik Möltgen. We asked him if the destruction (of the rig) could has been caused by a misplanning.

Dominik Möltgen: ... i can not see a structural reasons ... theres no evidence that the base structure or the security systemes caused the disaster. Thats simply impossible ... it's physical not possible.

Okay guys, i hope this helps. Futhermore: Theres no TV Network called NCC in germany. Even Zwichau Engineering doesn't exists – i think it's a misspelling of Zwickau, the name of a german city.

The guys over at HorrorMovies.ca postet a photo of the possible Cloverfield monster. They get it via email from a guy who said "Don't know how true it is but looks more closer to what I see in the trailer then that rancor wanna be."

This picture was created by Peter Konig. He's an art director and 3D modeler at Tippett Studios and, according to conceptart.org, "art director for the upcoming, top secret JJ Abrahms production Cloverfield". ... interessting.

Variety has an nice article about Cloverfield. There are some informations about how the film was made, but nothing new about the plot.

MrToasty from the unfiction-Forum discovered a new Cloverfiend-Website called Tagruato.jp.

He had searched for "Kaitei no mitsu" (engl. "deep sea nectar" or "Seabed’s Nectar") wich is one of the ingredients in the japanese recipe from the asian chef. With the help of Google he discovered a review at menuism.com wich linked to Tagruato.jp. And this site have some definite ties to Slusho and Cloverfield.

Tagruato is a fictitious deep sea petroleum drilling company with some subsidiaries: YOSHIDA MEDICAL RESEARCH, BOLD FUTURA, ParafFUN! WAX DISTRIBUTORS and SLUSHO! (wich is owned by Bold Futura, LLC)

The whole stuff let me remember the fictitious Hanso Foundation from Lost.

A interesting part of the site is a map of the Tagruato Deep Sea Drilling Stations. The rigs are all over the World and one of them, the stations Chuai, is 'close' to New York and opened in September 2007. So ... will the Drilling Station wake up the Cloverfield-Monster? I think so!

John Murphy – A Cloverfield Insider?

Ok, it could be real, could be fake.
A guy named "John Murphy" posted at the SteakNJB forum that he knows someone who is involved in Cloverfield, so he knows some of the facts an the plot. But he won't get in trouble, so he don't say who the source is.

He writes some intressting stuff about the possible story, the background of Slusho and why the monster attacks New York City. Further more he say that the title and more details will be release in the next couple weeks.

In the last days several of the "Slusho-Fans" 2,3 received there Slusho! order in the mail. Except from the order were some pieces of Japanese newspaper. If this is a gag or a possible hint ... who knows?

Cloverfieldclues has scanned them in so they can be analyzed. To me the newspaper looks real ... so i think it's only a joke.

Cloverfield Call Sheets Posted by New York Magazine

The New York Magazine released an article about Cloverfield, that might "spoil" the the last part of the film. They write a random crew member handed them out a call sheet for "day 33 of 33" of the shooting – the projekt is dubbed "Cheese".

We're certainly cynical enough to entertain the possibility that this call sheet is a planted fake, though we doubt it. And it's also entirely possible that the "alternate ending" is just for Cloverfield's Central Park sequence and not the entire film.

I think you could read the entire article - it doesn't really spoil anything. But something is really fishy ... Why does someone hand out the call sheets for the New York City shoot of Cloverfield? Is this part of the viral campaign??

/Film got some photos, videos and a short report about a shooting for Cloverfield in Central Park. There are very intressting infos!

According to nooneimportant77, the first sequence involved (minor spoiler warning) a very bloody Rob and an unidentified girl (presumably Lily, played by actress Jessica Lucas) huddled under an over pass in Central Park. They exchange some lines, before Rob starts saying “look at me look at me”. Cue dust and bricks which fall on them while they scream.

According to a production permit the title is still "Cheese". ;-)

A second Clovefield trailer?

At UnFiction Forum there is a discussion about a possible second Clovefield trailer ...

On 08/03/07 a second mysterious teaser trailer was reveled before special advanced screenings of the upcoming Paramount film "Stardust". The trailer appears to be a live news feed of a tv news crew filming in front of the Wonder Wheel on Coney Island when an unexpected explosion accures in the background, the news woman urges the crew to keep filming as they turn their camera in the direction of the explosion. A loud roar is heard but the source never seen but the camera does catch a flaming Wonder Wheel flying in the crews direction just before it blinks out. The film has no title and the trailer ends with the date of 01-18-08 then a "Roar" followed by the words "The Countdown Has Begun".

Some say it's bullshit. But i thinks sounds intressting and the infos could be real.

I think that confirms it: The three new posters at 1-18-08news.com are 100% FAKE! The strange stone fingers seen at the first of the posters are a statue at Playa Mansa Beach in Uruguay.

Okay, i don't know if they are real or not, but on 1-18-08news.com are three (new) posters that are titled with 01-18-08. One of them shows the hand of ~~the Statue of Liberty~~ a Statue , on a other you can see a huge shadow and the last shows a bunch of scared people.

At this time i think that the posters are fake. Theres no source, the design looks strange and ... they simply look fake.

Cloverfield Set Video and Report

Some days ago IESB published a sneak peek of a spy footage from the Cloverfield set in Santa Anita and Downey in the Los Angeles area. Now a 9 minute version is available.

This reveals nothing, but's nice to look at.

But ... the guys of IESB have further more a nice report about the film shooting and what's going on at the set. So the set visitor writes, he had seen "guys in Blue Bio-suits walking around who were working on something". He's speculating that this "something" was "a small piece of the monster or maybe some kind of infected human."

"I think the most interesting tidbit that I overheard was them referring to a robot.(...) I'm just guessing, what if the Monster isn't a monster, but a robot that has turned bad? I'm speculating on this because I did overhear another conversation later on regarding monsters. Monsters in the plural. Does that mean that there are more than one monsters/robot in the movie? (...) I may be totally wrong. I probably am but that does sound cool doesn't it?"

Hmm, probably he's right. But i think he's not. I think the monster is something organic, something that's alive ... something big and slimy!

The Overnight Rumors!

Like i written some days ago, there are rumors that "Overnight" is a new possible title of JJ's Monster Movie aka Cloverfield. Now this rumor has started getting some press, 'couse the supposed evidence is "strong" and very intressting.

For example ... /Film, IGN and CNBC have picked up the story.

I think (and hope) that Overnight will be not the real title of Cloverfield. There are many other movies with the same name. And i mean that a movie like this one needs a heavy, a strong but simple Name ... something that sounds monstrous and terrifying!

CloverfieldParasite writes, that the Slusho Account is fake. I don't wonna agree yet. But's more than likely, that CloverfieldParasite is right.

The Sluso MySpace Page looks very unprofessionell by comparison with the other accounts. 'Couse of that it's possible that Slusho is a fan creation.

Cloverfield Set Pictures! ... and Cheese!

Cloverfan from unfiction has visited the film set of Cloverfield and made several pictures, which he posted in the forum. The stuff you can see are smashed cars, scrap, crushed buildings and workers who transport the props and filming equipment around.

Furthermore he post a picture of a parking ticket. On this one the production is listed as "Cheese" and on a ID-Card the title is "Chocolate" --- another code name of Cloverfield. Nice one ;-)
And last but not least on some stools you can discover the Slusho logo! Yeah! Cloverfan, you are my hero of the day!!!!

A Cloverfield Spy Footage Sneak Peek?

IESB.net published a sneak peek of a spy footage from the set of Cloverfield. It's less then a minute long and you can only see several military guys jumping in a helicopter and a bunch of soldiers standing near cars. That's everything.

Then IESB.net says, that a Full Spy Footage and a Set Report will coming soon 8-1-07 ... so let's hope for something intressting stuff!

Overnight – a possible Title of JJ's Monster Movie?

Malemunyon at unfiction searched for informations about Cloverfield and detect something intressting. He stumbled upon the trademark "Overnight." Like Nick i was lookin at the MySpace page for Jamie and hearing the profile song from Modest Mouse. On YouTube you can find the Video to the Song and this is telling the strange story of sailors, a Monster Fish in the sargasso sea and nautical mythology.

The sargasso sea is known for strange storys about monsters and anomalous creatures. And further more some people say theres a "Super-Sargasso Sea", according to Wikipedia, this is the dimension into which lost things go, whose existence was proposed by Charles Hoy Fort, writer and researcher into anomalous phenomena. It may be thought of as the spontaneous, anomalous teleportation of an object into another dimension.

I don't know if there is a direct connection to the Slusho story or Cloverfield ... but's a interesting hint. Is the Cloverfield Monster from a other dimension? Impossible is nothing!

Yeah, that's right! Slusho.jp just updated and you can now go to a brand now Slusho Store. There you can buy T-Shirs and Baseball Caps. Nice!

Furthermore, there is now a "Happy Talk" and a "Flavors" section.

In Happy Talk you see a big mouth and different Sluhso charakters speaking out Quotes. Stuff like "Slusho is People!!!", "Am i a Whale?" and "Help! I had 7 ... is that bad?"

In the "Flavors" section you can create your own Slusho Flavor. It's a strange thing. You chose from several Robots and then you mixe it to a new. I don't see a sense. But's funny.

First: We now have several MySpace profiles of the main charakters in the movie. They all are Friends. I think the profiles are a important part of the campaign and that we had to watch them ;-) This is gettin' a cool thing ... trust me!.

Cloverfield: The Poster Titles ...again.

According to aintitcool.com the different Poster taglines will be finally "Monstrous", "Barbarous" and "Ferocious.

But, like i written earlier this day, there is a Poster with the tagline "Furious". And cloverfieldnews says, that a Poster on eBay has the titel "Terrifying". Confussing! Looks there are some fake infromations around.

But lets wait, what happens next ;-)

The Cloverfield Monster

One thing is clear: Cloverfield is a Monster Movie. Not a classical, that's right, but a film with a monster that attacks New York City. Since the first infos came out, there were speculations that Cloverfield will feature Godzilla, Voltron, The Lost Monster, Leviathan, Chimera, a Parasite Space Alien, Cthulhu ... or another Great Old One. But it can be something other too ... a new Monster.

Now we knew that JJ was inspired by a toy store in Japan that had many Godzilla toys. An we knew that the Monster not is a giant Robot, Godzilla or King Kong. Ok, thats great. And JJ said he wanted "something that was just insane and intense", "our own monster".

So i think, JJ created something really new, a "american" Monster with a slightly mytical influence. But how it would look like? I don't know. But it must be big, VERY BIG ... and very bad! And it can swim, like we can imagine if we look at the official Posters.

At the at Comic Con JJ Abrams announced that there is a series of four posters for Cloverfield Film.
Now, according to cloverfieldclues, each one of they has a different tag line. Now we have "Monstrous" AND "Furious" ....

Like cloverfieldclues I say, the titels are "descriptions" of the Movie. The Film is monstrous, furious ... doomous (?) and apocalyptous (?) or ferocious (?) and barbarous (?). Or something like that.

NOT Monstrous! The Slusho Connection is real!

CloverfieldNews writes, that the rumored Slusho Connection is a real thing. At the ComicCon are T-Shirts handed out. Nothing special? Yeah, but these T-Shirts as a Slusho logo. So Slusho has someting to do with Cloverfield aka Monstrous!

And NOW THE SLEDGE HAMMER!

According to Firstshowing JJ said at the Comic Con...

“I want a monster movie, I've wanted one for so long. I was in Japan with my son and all he wanted to do is go to toy stores. And we saw all these Godzilla toys, and I thought, we need our own monster, and not King Kong, King Kong's adorable. I wanted something that was just insane and intense. It's almost done shooting and I watch dailies and I'm more excited for them than the trailer, which has had an overwhelming response. We have 6 months before this comes out. We're going to have a whole bunch of things, a whole bunch more."

He said a full trailer, more clips, full posters, and much more will be coming out over the next 6 monts, including the name, which he will NOT reveal today.

So here is it, Boys 'n' Girl: The mysterious Cloverfield Poster is real. As real as my bad english.

Now theres a HiRes-Pic of the Poster and ... breath slowly and deep ... a official Version that were published today. But wait - on the Poster is no Title? Is this 'couse the title is not Monstrous or is it only couse it had not been officially announced yet.

I don't know. But i think it's possible that the title "Monstrous" is only a part of the viral campaign.

The guys from The Movie Blog writing, that the possible "real Title" from JJ Abrams has been discloused. 'Couse now someone posted in a forum some very blurry pics of a poster in a comic shop window promoting a movie called "Monstrous" with a headless Statue of Liberty in front of burning New York.

So, theres no movie called Monstrous in the IMDB ... and no one heard of the Movie before? Burning New York, cool Poster, a Monster ... Monstrous is Cloverfield. Really? The poster could be fake ... but to time i don't believe this. And one thing more! - themonstrousmovie.com purchased by Paramount studios in June of this year.

So ... is Cloverfield Monstrous? I think ... yes.
